Tripuraprottoy Correspondent, Dharmanagar: Local residents joined the road blockade in Lalchhara area this morning against the poor condition of Kadamtala-Dharmanagar main road in North Tripura. Although the administration has been drawn to the poor condition of the road several times for a long time, they are angry that no permanent solution has been found. Locals complain that large potholes have formed in various parts of the road. During the monsoon, water accumulates in these potholes and takes the form of small ponds, which is creating an extremely risky situation for traffic. It has become difficult for passengers and drivers to travel due to constant fear of accidents. According to the blockaders, despite repeated requests, no effective measures have been taken by the concerned department to repair the road. The common people of Lalchhara and Jaipur areas were forced to participate in today's protest. As a result of this blockade, passenger vehicles and ordinary pedestrians have been facing severe suffering since the morning. Many passengers have to wait for a long time due to the traffic jam created. Finally, the administration has assured of speedy road repairs after discussing with the protesters.
