Ampi, 19th of August 2025. With the initiative of Amarpur Zonal 117th birth anniversary of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur has been organized here in Ampi Nagar community hall in Gomati Tripura today. On this auspicious occasion a large number of TMP leaders, activists and local villagers have assembled here in the programme venue and celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharaja with due respect and dignity. In presence of many distinguished participants Ampi 41 constituency MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has inaugurated the event. By cutting birth day cake programme participants have shared the happiness of the celebration. Addressing the gathering MLA Pathanlal Jamatia has said, "Our Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Bahadur was an architecture of Tripura. His contribution in building modern Tripura is unforgettable. He was a genius king who did many development works for the prosperity of the people of Tripura." On this birth anniversary occasion TMP has distributed yarn amidst 1600 indigenous women to promote their home weaving indigenous garments which is a special indicator of their heritage and culture. Ampi 23 constituency MDC Sadagar Kalai has motivated the indigenous women over their traditional cultural costumes and urged them to enhance and sustain their culture for the new generation. On this occasion TMP leaders have planted saplings and distributed sweets and fruits amongst patients in Tuidu PHC and interacted with patients. Amidst the others there were Ampi Nagar TMP president Sanjay Jamatia, Ampi ZDO Rathindra Debbarma, TWF president Kalija Kalai, Ampi sub zonal chairman Gakul Nanda Jamatia, ZDO of Amarpur Malita Mohan Tripura and many others remained present in the programme.
