Amarpur, 22nd of October 2025. The heritage motivational most famous annually festival Anthar Buthar of the Molsom tribe of Tripura has been accomplished successfully today here in Makhucherra village under Atharabola VC in Killa block, Udaipur. In presence of many distinguished dignitaries the Darlong society leader Tinkhuma Darlong, UNAU organization G.S has inaugurated this fascinating harvest festival conducted by MYA, Molsom Dofa Rai Committee in collaboration with ICA, ICAT, and Tribal Welfare Dept. on 21st of October 2025. Following the theme 'Tradition illuminates the path of modernity' this 2 day long Anthar Buthar Festival has drawn the massive attention of all indigenous communities of Tripura. People have come from different parts of the state and shared the joy of the fest. On this auspicious occasion many stalls, shops and exhibition showcase were buzzing with people. Beautiful Molsom traditional cultural presentation spectrum has enhanced the beauty of the programme. Under the able guidance and supervision of MYA president Ramani Kumar Molsom and general secretary Rambabu Molsom the festival has influenced the participants. The meaning of Anthar Buthar has its root sense in respect of time as per the term stated. Anthar means newly collected green vegetables and Buthar means newly harvested rice collected from jhum cultivation. This traditional food festival has come from the ancestors of the Molsom tribe. After gaining new grains and vegetables Molsom people organize this festival to thank the almighty God for His immense grace over them. This annual festival of the Molsom tribe promotes their cultural identity, traces their communal existence in international level. Through this grand festival the Molsom social leaders focus over their various social aspects like religion, social culture, communal heritage, costumes, unique Molsom tradition, education, economy, social fraternity and all kinds of social development issues. The Molsom social leaders motivate the Molsom people to preserve and protect their precious heritage, language, culture, costumes,foods and religious faith. Many society leaders like Kaipeng, Debbarma, Darlong, Jamatia, Kalai, Bongcher etc from other communities also have participated this gorgeous festival and enjoyed it proportional maintaining communal fraternity & harmony. Addressing the Molsom society MLA Rampada Jamatia has said, "I appreciate the Molsom society as they are struggling hard to accelerate the social progress proportional with other communities of the state. To uplift the Molsom people I have stretched my arms and if they are cooperative with us then a good future is awaiting for them. Molsom people are patronizing their heritage and culture, that is a good sign to promote own heritage assets." Amidst the other distinguished participants there were Laldam Kaipeng, Kaipeng representative, Kamal Bongcher, Bongcher Rai, Nijer Bandhu Molsom, senior adviser of MYA, Sukhamoy Molsom, Gamaku cluster president of MYA, Anup Kalai, society leader, and many others remained present in the festival.
