GDC Khumulwng organized Freshers' Welcome Meet 2025

Amarpur, 12th of December 2025. The Government Degree College, Khumulwng, celebrated the induction of its new undergraduates with the Freshers' Welcome Meet 2025 held on December 12, 2025, at the college campus. The event was organized by the college staff and senior students to warmly welcome the first-semester students admitted for the 2025 academic session. The inaugural session was graced by Shri Rabindra Debbarma, Hon'ble (EM) for Education, (TTAADC), who presided as the Chief Guest. Dr. Bhupendra Debbarma, Principal In- Charge of the college chaired the inaugural session as the president of the program. Other dignitaries on the dais included Dr. Jekap Halam, IQAC Coordinator; Sri Pradip Debbarma, Secretary of the Teachers' Council; Smt. Maharani Hrangkhawl, Convener of the Freshers' Meet; and Shakti Kalai, General Secretary, students council representative. During the inaugural session, the felicitation of outstanding students were done for those who excelled in academic, co-curricular, and sports activities. Special recognition was accorded to the champions of the Inter-College Volleyball match and other sporting events, who were honoured with certificates and mementos. Master Riyas Debbarma was given the title of 'Mister Freshers 2025' and Miss Ezra Betu as 'Miss Freshers 2025'.
