Staff Correspondent, Panisagar: In line with the guidelines of the Central Government to further strengthen police–public relations, the 140 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a Civic Action Programme on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Khudra Kandi High School in Panisagar. The programme was held in the Uptakhali area under the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of E/140 Company. As part of the initiative, a total of nine solar lanterns, five volleyball nets along with five footballs, and one carrom board with coins and striker were distributed among the school, local clubs, and various community organizations. The items were distributed by Commandant Munna Singh of the 140 Battalion, CRPF.The programme was attended by Officer Commanding of E/140 Battalion, Navin Kumar Nirala, local public representatives, teachers, and members of the media.Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Commandant Munna Singh stated that the primary objective of the Civic Action Programme is to build trust, harmony, and cooperation between the security forces and the general public. He emphasized that such initiatives help strengthen communication and mutual understanding between the force and the people. He also assured that similar welfare -oriented programmes would be continued in the future.At the conclusion of the event, local villagers expressed their gratitude to the 140 Battalion, CRPF, for the initiative and voiced their hope that such activities would continue in the days to come.
